New Ethiopia was an information bulletin, published by the All Ethiopia Socialist Movement “Me’isone” foreign section, targeting the progressive segment of the international community. The first issue was published in 1977, and intially, the language used was mainly French. The publication changed from French to English in 1979 without modifying its editorial line.

In 1982, the format and the editorial line changed. The publication’s name became New Ethiopia-News Letter. The content expanded to cover global issues, such as the refugees problem, democratic alternatives to Ethiopia, peace, etc. The last publication was in 1995.
